How do I install an LED T8 tube with an electronic ballast?


When you use T8 fluorescent tubes, it is high time to switch to LED. You can easily replace your old tubes with T8 LED tubes. Just pay attention to the same wattage, length, and G13 socket. Our video will show you how to install an LED T8 tube with electronic ballast (ECG).

Here's a step-by-step guide on how to remove your old fluorescent tube and install your new LED tube:
1.     Before replacing: turn off the power! For added security, you can unscrew the fuse.
2.     Turn the fluorescent tube a quarter turn towards you. To remove the tube from the holder and then remove it.
3.     Take the new LED tube and push it straight into the socket of the lamp. Then turn the tube a quarter turn away until the tube is tight.
4.     Turn on the power and save energy and money immediately.

Features of a LED T8 tube

LED T8 tubes have a G13 socket, a so-called plug socket. The number stands for the distance between the two pins in millimeters, i.e. 13 mm.
